18th June 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 15-20 knots Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 15ºC Sea Temperature: 17ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: 22.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 18.9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) For a change I timed things right today. Went to the Fantasy Farm Park in the morning with Anna, Morgan, Sarah and Josh and then got out on the water for the windiest part of the day. After wlaking acorss to the beach with my kit, I rigged up and then sat on the pebbels for a while as there just wasn't quite enough wind. a few minutes later a wind line could be seen out on the sea so I carried my kit to the water and gave it a go. I was straight up and going and just about powered up enough to stay upwind, and then the wind gradually filled in throughout my session so that I ended up nicely powered up for a cruisey little session. No one else out and although I was on my big kit it was a nice session as that 6.7m sail doesn't actually feel too big. |
